RESPONSE: TRUE/FALSE MOVIE
American Shopper
All I want to do is get a copy of this movie on DVD and send it to everyone I know to explain what Columbia is like. This movie fun mix of a fictional premise (i.e. setting up a competition for a new sport in supermarkets, "aisling") and reality. Real Columbians signed up to actually compete in an aisling contest. They even agreed to stay after they found out the premise was a farce. It's a great testament to the welcoming personality of the town with the journalism school (and the festival in general). And, it was really fun to try and pick out where each scene was shot.

YOU CAN'T MISS: AIGA
Stamp Design
This is a great combination of a simple and recognizable idea and innovative design. These Beatles Stamps are simply famous Beatles covers stacked on top of each other..but wait...this is where it gets a little kooky. The stamps are die cut so that the albums appear to be stacked haphazardly on top of one another. It's cool to see how changing on small thing can make such a difference in calling attention to the entire project. Michael Johnson, the designer, has also designed stamps that feature stick on faces on fruits and vegetables.

This could be just the thing to save the written letter from going extinct.
